Thank you Mr Turnbull ...

It's as if the Toowoomba City Council sits down and contemplates what would next help the No case.

Why don't we ring Mr Turnbull and get him to say "No vote, No funding" again?

That will help.

And so it seems they did.

In today's Chronicle, Mr Turnbull displays his arrogance yet again:

"Malcolm Turnbull has reiterated Toowoomba will lose federal funding if Water Futures is rejected."

Source - Chronicle - Turnbull: No vote, no funding.

He goes on to say:

"I am not aware of any projects that have been suggested or touted in the media that would meet such criteria."

Do you think Mr Turnbull is aware that the Federal government is funding gas water for Dalby?

Maybe it's as Mayor Thorley says - if Dalby has funding for gas water, then Toowoomba won't get funding. The "first mover advantage" theory.

But doesn't that mean that Goulburn would never get funding for recycled sewage because Toowoomba has conditional funding?

Something doesn't add up (again!).

Perhaps people supporting the Yes campaign are starting to lose their cool because it's looking like a spectacular failure. It's not as if Mr Turnbull doesn't have other worries.

The Yes campaign fails to realise that Mr Turnbull's last visit to Toowoomba worked against them. He came across as an arrogant blow-in politician trying to force his views on the community.

This article will have the same effect.

Mr Turnbull should note that, under most of the Nationals water plan for Toowoomba released yesterday (other than the gas water proposal which the Federal government is funding for Dalby), no Federal funding is required.

Interestingly, a number of No campaigners have been hoping Mr Turnbull would return to Toowoomba. He helped the campaign so much last time.

Anyone with a real feel for the current debate would have advised Mr Turnbull to stay as far away from Toowoomba as possible until after 29 July.

So thank you Mr Turnbull and please come again soon ...
