Toowoomba City Council - nothing gets through the membranes, no - something does, no - nothing does ...

Well, which is it???

Mayor Thorley's yes campaign becomes increasingly desperate as the days count down to 29 July.

After being forced to admit that its brochures (copied from Singapore's NEWater brochures) were false and misleading - they showed nothing but pure water getting through the RO membranes - Council's own NWC funding application stated that this was incorrect, Council changed tack and published a new diagram in its $41,000 Water Book which showed chemical molecules getting through the membranes.

Fast forward to 11 July and Council is back where they started - publishing false and misleading ads in the Toowoomba Chronicle showing nothing getting through the membranes.

Council might try to dismiss this complaint by their opponents but it is glaringly obvious to Toowoomba voters that their current ads are completely inconsistent with Council's own diagrams in their $41,000 Water Book.

See - Lyle's blog - Council's conflicting diagrams.

It would be funny if it wasn't such a gross waste of ratepayers' money ...
