Toowoomba City Council - mixed messages once again ...

Mayor Thorley has said that it you don't want to drink her recycled sewage, buy bottled water. On a number of occasions, she has added "or put in a tank".

Yet in today's Chronicle, Toowoomba City Council is saying "Tank water was definitely not intended for drinking."

See - Toowoomba City Council's mixed messages.

You would be forgiven for being confused.

It is an odd stance to take. In the Council's NWC funding application, it states that, for those people who don't want to drink the recycled sewage, Council will offer funding for putting in a tank connected to the kitchen tap to be repaid over time.

Toowoomba City Council now seems to be backing away from this proposal with Mayor Thorley now saying the Council is not a bank. But she signed the NWC funding application which said this is what Council intended to do.

Seems the Council are still just making it up as the go ...
