Premier Beattie mailout - free advertising for the No campaign ...

Premier Beattie's latest PR letter has landed in Toowoomba letter boxes.

And what free advertising for the No campaign it is!

The Premier points out all that the State government is doing about water:

"This Budget also provides $600 million next year to secure Queensland's future water supplies. Two much needed new dams, two new weir projects and upgrading existing dams throughout Queensland are crucial for Queensland's growing population. But we are also providing incentives for South East Queensland homes and industry to reduce water use; new pipelines to move water where it is most needed; and encouraging more water recycling by industry."

With less than 4 weeks to the Referendum, you might think that Premier Beattie would refer to the Thorley plan for Toowoomba.

No, he tells every Toowoomba household that there will be plenty of dams as well as new pipelines for moving water where it is most needed.

Sitting in Toowoomba, you'd be forgiven for wondering why Toowoomba isn't part of the State government's plans.

Toowoomba needs water - but there are no plans for a pipeline to move water where it is needed.

Thank you Mr Beattie ...
