Billions of litres in drinking water could be saved if the State Government provided a subsidy program for industry to switch from swallowing up valuable drinking water to using recycled water the Queensland Coalition says.

Having been forced to adopt two Coalition policies on water saving in the last month, Mr Beattie has been told he should go the whole way by launching a subsidy scheme that allows industry to covert from freshwater use to recycled water where practicable.
