Mr Seeney said the Beattie Labor Government was happy to spend billions of dollars on a dam near Gympie which it claims will ensure Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast residents don’t have to drink recycled sewage water, an option the Premier has described as the ‘Armageddon solution’.

“For Toowoomba, the Beattie Government has only offered $23 million conditional funding to ensure local residents are stuck with the ‘Armageddon solution’ and will have to drink recycled sewage water and suffer harsh water restrictions for evermore,” he said.
