CMC inquiry into local government elections ...
The Qld Crime and Misconduct Commission has released a discussion paper on local government elections.
The CMC is calling for submissions as part of its public inquiry into the local government electoral process.
In particular, the CMC is reviewing the adequacy of legislation dealing with:
a) misleading voters
b) electoral bribery
c) returns about election gifts
d) declaring and dealing with conflicts of interest or material personal interests by councillors

I wonder if they will take a closer look at our council and see if CH2M Hill had any thing to do with they way the council view our water soloution they have come up with.

I think the Council were seduced by some slick marketing and overseas trips - the PR machine is a well oiled and effective one. They stroked their egos and they were in the door.
