What sets you apart from other candidates?
I will be a full-time Mayor. Some other candidates still have their farms or businesses to run. The Darling Downs and Toowoomba Region needs a fully focused, competent Mayor devoting all his attention to the job.
I am the only candidate that has experience on the large Toowoomba City Council with the education and qualifications to work equally with Council’s professional staff.
This is a critical time and we can’t afford a Mayor on a learning curve or a Mayor furthering their political career. The strategies we put in place over the next four years will set the tone of the region for decades.

Dear Administrator (Snow?) — if you have any respect for accountability and honesty at all you really should remove the statement: "There also continues to be a need for open debate on the benefits and risks of potable reuse and long-term studies on the effects on humans of drinking recycled water." from your initial page — you have absolutely no interest in open debate. Every comment that is not a suckup to Snow (you?) never gets posted. This site is plainly a campaign support vehicle for Snow (you?) and as such should carry the required authorisations. To pretend that this is an impartial forum is an insult to the voting public. Shame. (PS: If this comment gets posted I will vote for Snow. Then I will cut my hand off).

A. 4350water blog is not operated by Cr Manners - 100% sure.
B. It is not a campaign vehicle for Cr Manners. It provides commentary on a debate that has continued for almost 3 years. Cr Manners is the only Mayoral candidate who has clearly stated that recycled water should not be put in Towoomba's drinking water supply. Jones wants it and Taylor can't make up his mind.
C. Anonymous comments will generally not be posted during the election period - whether they are for or against Cr Manners or anyone else.
D. If you don't like the 4350water blog - don't read it.
E. Go and vote for Cr Manners or you have no credibility.

For the sake of clarity, the 4350water blog provides commentary on the issue of recycled water in Toowoomba and related issues as it has done since 2005. It is an independent blog and is not operated by any of the 3 Mayoral candidates nor any of the 36 Councillor candidates, nor any of their immediate families.
