Toowoomba Regional Council 2008 election - Anna Bligh picks her man ...
First it was the Meibusch letter backing Taylor to try to ensure that Manners doesn't become Mayor.
Now it's Anna Bligh's turn - indicating that she wants a Yes-person installed as Mayor in Toowoomba and will over-rule any attempt by Manners as Mayor to act in the best interests of Toowoomba and the region.

Dam Non Negotiable
10 March 2008
Premier Anna Bligh has put paid to Mayoral candidate Snow Manners' key policy of re-negotiating connection to the South East Water Grid, confirming she'll over-ride the council if necessary.
Premier Anna Bligh has today headed off Snow Manners at the pass on his key election policy of re-negotiating Toowoomba's connection to the South East Water Grid.
The Premier says she'll over-ride the new council if necessary to ensure connection to Wivenhoe Dam proceeds as planned next year.
Manners says the announcement is purely political, claiming the government is backing one of his rivals.
See - WIN News - Anna blows her top.
Amazing how Labor is falling over themselves in attempts to ensure that candidate Manners is not elected Mayor.
Really poses the question - why is Labor so desperate to avoid Manners being Mayor?
If you want to upset Anna's plans to ram Labor's agenda through on Toowoomba and the surrounding region, you know who to vote for ...

The previous Toowoomba City Council with the exception of Cr. Manners 'rubber stamped" everything the Qld Labour Govt wanted. They, the Govt, want that to continue. This electorate wants nothing to do with party politics in Local Govt. and to make matters worse for Anna Bligh, this is a conservative community.

Is glenisd, in reality, Snow? There is a giveaway clue here...he seems to have the same obsessive fascination with rubber stamps. Look back at all Snow's interviews and speeches, and find me one where he doesn't mention a rubber stamp!

Best guess is no - if you look back through comments by glenisd in the past.
