Toowoomba Regional Council 2008 election - Electoral Commission gives Taylor a defect notice ...

Word on the street is that the Returning Officer smacked Mayoral hopeful Peter Taylor for the mixed authorisations on his TV ads.

His ads have a voiceover which refer to Taylor as being resident in Toowoomba while the authorisation on the screen at the end of his ads says 'Jondaryan'.

Seems Taylor was called in by the Qld Electoral Commission and told to change his ads so as not to send mixed messages to the voters.

This is becoming an expensive election campaign for Taylor. He had to reprint 50,000 brochures when he contravened his own Interim Committee rules on use of the Toowoomba Regional Council logo. Now he faces further editing costs for his ads.

A real comedy of errors ...

He certainly is making a lot of mistakes.

To me this shows that he doesn't have the capability to lead this area as a Mayor.

You need a person who is a quick thinker and able to make decisions quickly and correctly.

To me Taylor would be a very expensive Mayor.
