About Me
- Name: Concerned Ratepayer
- Location: Australia
For many years, the 4350water blog has informed readers of plans by the Toowoomba City Council (now Toowoomba Regional Council) and the Qld government to introduce recycled water for drinking in Toowoomba. It has also looked at the issue from a State and Federal perspective and dealt with related State and Federal political issues. There continues to be a need for the Toowoomba Regional Council to be completely transparent in its dealings with the ratepayers and residents of Toowoomba. There also continues to be a need for open debate on the benefits and risks of potable reuse and long-term studies on the effects on humans of drinking recycled water. Coal seam gas water is emerging as a possible alternate water source for some uses for the region. The 4350water blog is a collective effort and thanks go to its many contributors.

Some-one should tell poor silly Ramia that we do not only depend on the dams. He was on the WIN news to-night (10/10/07) hoping that this good rain would top up the dams and we might get enough to see us through for a further 12 months.
All we want is the truth from these bloody politicians and stop them from trying to fool the public or scare them. We are using a lot of bore water now and it is also getting recharged from this lovely rain. The relevance of the level of the dams has nothing to do with where this city draws it's main supply from and both Ramia and Flanagan know it.
Their repeated statements on how low the dams are is lost on us because we know until they are nearly full they will not be where our supply is drawn from.
Ramia might think he is going to get back into the good books with the voters but they have very good memories. He is gone at the next election along with the brainless women who sit there with him as they were all quite happy for us to drink recycled sewage water and he and the ladies would never debate it with the people.

It was really odd that the Councillors would not answers people's questions. Remember the outgoing Mayor? She wouldn't attend meetings to answer people's questions but was always in the car or on a plane at ratepayers' expense to talk about her scheme to people in other cities.
