Mayor Opposes 'Toilet-To-Tap' Water Supply Proposal

13 September 2007

San Diego - Mayor Jerry Sanders Thursday restated his opposition to using treated sewage to supplement San Diego's drinking water supply, dubbed "toilet-to-tap" by detractors.

"I'll oppose any effort to bring about toilet-to-tap," Sanders said. "There is neither the money nor the public will to support such a program."

See - No toilet-to-tap for my city.

So much for the lies spread by the 6 pack of the Toowoomba City Council during the the campaign for the water Poll.
They said that it was done all other the world and all over the world is no different to Australia and more importantly Toowoomba!
It is not cost effective and no long term health studies have been done. We are asked to take the word of Prof Greenfield as he states that it is safe. He and his cronies are the very people pushing the agenda.

Maybe the next Mayor of the so called supershire will have the fortitude to support the community in its opposition to drinking recycled sewage water. There will be a completely different lot of Councillors too so perhaps there will be a fairer attitude to this vexing question - not just the six pack voting down everything Cr. Manners proposes.
