Premier Bligh - your time starts now ...
With the clock almost running on the Bligh premiership, it will be interesting to see how she performs.
The outgoing Beattie government PR team (which Anna will take over tomorrow) has planted a story in today's Courier Mail indicating that the Bligh team needs to perform in four key areas:
Incoming premier Anna Bligh has been told to deliver in four key areas as she fronts up this morning to be endorsed for the state's top job.
Ms Bligh, who will be elected unopposed by Labor's caucus, has been told her government must finally deliver in the areas of water, health, transport and the ambulance service if she is to regain the confidence of the Queensland people.
See - Courier Mail - Anna takes over.
It's obvious stuff - fix all the things your government hasn't managed to fix so far.
It's just not clear who told her this ...

Sums up Qld Labor - bickering over ministerial portfolios while choosing another unionite for Beattie's seat.
Excerpt from the Courier Mail:
12 September 2007
While a survey of the Labor caucus yesterday convinced Ms Bligh she would be elected premier unopposed today, she was forced to hose down internal factional fires as MPs fought for higher office.
Factional players last night still were seeking to ensure their MPs were rewarded with the most senior roles in the new Bligh Cabinet.
Ms Bligh is likely to break up her former portfolios of treasury and infrastructure in an effort to appease all three Labor factions.
State Development Minister John Mickel, who failed to gather significant numbers to have a tilt at the deputy position, is likely to receive a beefed-up role.
While taking on the transport and main roads role is one option, the more likely scenario could see Mr Mickel have trade or infrastructure added to his responsibilities.
However, the Labor Unity faction, or Old Guard, is pushing for a compromise deal after losing the premiership and may seek the treasury portfolio.
Local Government Minister Andrew Fraser, a Labor Unity member, is considered one treasury option, but also may receive a promotion to transport.
Hervey Bay's Andrew McNamara will be promoted to Cabinet while Rachel Nolan will become a parliamentary secretary. Union leader Grace Grace will be preselected to contest Mr Beattie's seat of Brisbane Central.
Mr Mickel said he made his decision not to put up his hand after speaking with his wife. "It's Paul Lucas' time and we're happy to support him," he said.
Education Minister Rod Welford, who was also touted as a deputy option, said Ms Bligh had chosen Mr Lucas and he was happy with her decision. Mr Lucas said he was pleased there had been a smooth transition.

Rudd's Cabinet, if elected, will be composed entirely of ex-Trade Union Officials or leading left wing Socialists. If he is elected, Australia will be run by the Trade Unions as they will be in power in Governmenmt. If I was an employer I would leave this country and go somewhere where the population is not so stupid as to elect Union officials to Govt. office.
