More Queenslanders kept in the dark ...

Looks like it's not only the Toowoomba City Council which keeps its community in the dark.

Didn't they read Mr Beattie's full page ads?

From ABC News:

Residents form dam committee

One of the communities that could be affected by plans for a new dam in south-east Queensland has formed a committee to deal with the issue.

The State Government says it is looking at two possible sites, one at Tilley's Bridge near Rathdowney and the other at Wyaralong near Boonah.

Rathdowney residents discussed the proposal at a public meeting on Friday night and formed a group to monitor the decision-making process.

Beaudesert Shire councillor Dave Cockburn says its first priority is information.

"The hall was full of angry people wanting to know what is exactly going on, what is being proposed," he said.

"They feel they have been treated fairly cruelly by not having information. We have requested information, so we are waiting for that ... and then obviously we will look at the proposal - the merits of it - and then go from there, but initially we want information."

The State Government says a dam at Tilley's Bridge would hold more water than the Wyarralong site.

But Natural Resources Minister Henry Palaszczuk says no decision has been made.

See - Lack of information.
