MP Turnbull tries the carrot and stick approach ...

From WIN News:

Turnbull Referendum

$20 million down the drain if water no vote goes through.

The Prime Minister's Water Advisor says Toowoomba can't be guaranteed a $20 million grant, if residents vote no at the upcoming Water Futures referendum.

During a visit to the Garden City Malcolm Turnbull says the money is for the recycling project only, and any alternatives would have to apply for separate funding.

See - Turnbull tries Thorley's scare tactics.

Let's not try to scare Toowoomba citizens into voting Yes, will we Malcolm ...

Did you catch the words Innovative and demonstration.
We are to be their Pilot Program.
NO, NO, NO, and NO again.

Why does Turnbull get to tell us what we should have?

Why does it have to be innovative and demonstrative?

Why can't it just solve the problem?

Given how the Council told us there were no other options - that would indeed be innovative!

How would the voters in Mr Turnbull's electorate react if he tried to convince them to drink recycled sewage?

I bet he would well and truely be voted out of parliament.

Go home Mr Turnbull, we do not want this. Their is viable options. We are sick and tired of the lies.

I can just imagine the reaction in Mr Turnbull's blue ribbon seat of Wentworth if he said that they were going to have to drink recycled sewage.

I'm sure his Israel and Singapore arguments wouldn't get him too far with his constituents.

Can you imagine if he had used drinking recycled sewage as his campaign strategy at the time of his pre-selection battle and subsequent election battle with the disendorsed federal Liberal MP Peter King?

He wouldn't be in Parliament today.

If the referendum goes ahead, send a message to Thorley AND Turnbull - we will not be bullied into accepting your demonstration project!

Turnbull's 'do it or you won't get any money' was a real show of arrogance and threatening behaviour towards Toowoomba people.

Even the Toowoomba Chronicle is trying to scare the citizens of Toowoomba.

I feel like flushing this paper down the toilet, and cancelling my subscription.

Come on Toowoomba we need some good debate, not scare tactics. And how dare they blame CADS if the NO case gets up.

The TCC needs to be blamed for siting back for too long and doing nothing.

Jeffy's letter was bordering on defamatory. Was it his parting shot? Did his principal tell him to shut up or lose his job, I wonder?

If the No vote does win, wait to see the blame game - Thorley will blame CADS for opposing her, then she'll blame Canberra for making her have a referendum, then she'll blame Jeffy for suggesting it be compulsory, then she'll blame Kevin for making her go ahead with recycled sewage in the first place. Will be fun to watch.

Jeffy was already starting - blaming CADS for the delay - blame the Council's badly prepared NWC application. Do you think Jeffy has even read it?
