Another brief word about abusive conduct ...

In December 2005, this blog made a comment that there is no place in the recycled sewage debate for abusive and threatening behaviour.

It seems appropriate to reiterate that message.

There is NO place in this debate for abusive conduct - whether it is in person or by email.

See - email message.

To make accusations without basis is silly. To make them in an abusive manner is all the more deplorable.

It used to be that schools told their students to watch their behaviour at all times as they were representatives of their school.

It seems the same rule doesn't apply to teachers ...

Rule 1 - never put it in writing - it will come back to haunt you.

Isn't it interesting that the abuse and threats are so one-sided. It is the people who want to introduce recycled water to Toowoomba who are abusive. What must the recycled water companies think of their ambassadors?

Do you think the Council will distance themselves from him now? Will the school give him an ultimatum - recycled water or us?

His behaviour is disgusting - is this how that school teaches its kids to treat women?

"St Mary’s College is a community built on Christian Values. Fundamental values of respect, acceptance and compassion guide and influence whatever we do. Acceptance of these values would mean that Harassment of any nature is unacceptable amongst the St Mary’s College Community.

As a Community it is imperative that students, parents and staff work together to overcome any issues that may arise.

Our College seeks and affirms each boy’s worth, dignity and vocation. Students are entitled to receive their education free from humiliation, oppression and abuse."

But teachers can do whatever they like in the community!

And he's breached the school's hair policy: Hair must be cut no shorter than a No. 2 blade.
