Anna Bligh starts 'we saved Toowoomba' campaign ...
6 November 2009
The State Government says Toowoomba would be in total drought next year without water from Wivenhoe Dam.
Workers today will complete a 38-kilometre pipeline from the dam to Toowoomba, before moving on to finish the pump station.

Hear the rain on your roof- That's what is going to save us and then how do they explain the cost of pipeline that they have imposed on all of the TRC area?
There were always other options but this council and this State government were detirmed to build a pipeline to connect us to the water grid.
No-one is drinking recycled sewage any-where in the world and Anna Bligh has a white elephant at Bundamba because she can not sell it to any-one and it is only used to send water up to the power stations. That's a good idea but I am sure that it would not have to have "purified" for that purpose.
The people of Brisbane and surrounding area will not have a bar of the "purified recycled sewage " going into their dam and by the looks of it there will be no need to think about it until the next big drought. In 50years?

Wasn't the Wivenhoe pipeline one of the no case options?

QWC figures show that, without rain, Brisbane's dam levels will drop to the magic 40% mark in 2011.

So why are they letting the Brisbane people use the water. Money.
It is all about money, and greed.
Anna wants the dam to get low again, so that they can then pump recycled sewage into it.

My guess is Anna hopes it does rain and the dam levels stay high. She then doesn't have to deal with the recycled water issue.
