Update:
With 8 booths counted, some of the middle pack are starting to catch up. While the top positions remain clear, there is a large group building in the middle.

With 7 booths counted, here are the leading contenders:

Crs Ramia (610), Schneider (575), Englart (441) and Alroe (365) are trailing. As are Crs Beer (429) and Barron (423).
The voter message so far seems clear - it's time for a clean sweep of Council with a whole new team for the Toowoomba Regional Council, with preference given to the shire Councillors.
Update 5:
With 6 booths counted, Antonio, Taylor, Williams and Scotney have a clear lead with Strohfeld, Orford and Glasheen, Yeates and Cahill in the next group with Ramia and Sullivan grappling for position 10.
Update 4:
Wth 5 booths counted, a pattern is emerging showing the shire Councillors taking control of the Toowoomba Regional Council.
Things don't look good for Crs Alroe, Englart, Ramia and Schneider, nor for Crs Beer and Barron - with them all struggling to hold onto their seats.

With 4 booths counted, the shire Councillors are still in the lead.

With 3 booths counted, it's the shire Councillor pack leading the field - with the top 10 as follows:

Early days yet in the counting but the shire Councillors are performing strongly and it may be hard for any of the existing Toowoomba City Councillors to be returned.
Update 1:
Very early results (2 booths out of 60) show a clear preference to the existing shire Councillors with Williams, Taylor, Antonio, Glasheen, Sullivan, Scotney and Strohfeld all polling strongly.
Too early to tell, but the top 7 or 8 positions may be quickly filled with the rest of the field vying for positions 9 and 10 ...
