Toowoomba City Council revises dam depletion date ...

Remember how Toowoomba was going to run out of water by Christmas 2005?

Didn't happen.

Part of the fear campaign waged by the outgoing Toowoomba City Council to try to coerce its residents into voting in favour of the outgoing Mayor's white elephant recycled water plant.

Fast forward to January 2008 and the Council now tells us there's enough dam water to last until well into 2009.

And that's before looking at GAB water which will provide sufficient water for Toowoomba until the drought breaks.

When you vote on 15 March, think about whether you should vote for anyone who told you that Toowoomba was going to run out of water and the only solution was to drink recycled water ...

Excerpt from WIN News:

Cooby Bore Update:

16 January 2008

Revised date

After yet another dry summer, Toowoomba Council engineers have revised the date the city is expected to run out of dam water, from mid next year, to the first half of next year
. It comes as the viability of the city's emergency supply, a great artesian basin bore at Cooby Dam, should be known by early next month.

I smell a rat and his name is Kevvie!!

This lot are playing dirty games and fiddling the figures about water so as to manipulate the out come of the Regional Council election.
Sorry fellows the games up and the people don't believe you any more.
Too many lies have been told in the past.
Out here there is a list with 5 names on it and they are the people who are not going back on to the new council.
I wonder who they would be?

Anyone else notice how the council are hiding the dam levels on their website now? What are they hiding?

Ask the farmers who live out and around the dam area as it seems a creek or two might have started to run.

That's why the dam level information has been taken down from the Council website.

Why didn't Flanagan have the pump from the failed Wetalla bore or are they only about using any stalling tactic they can in the lead up to this election?

They are still doing every thing in their power to make the situation look extreme.

Thorley would have a hide to come back here and tell us that the bore might fail again when she really lives where the water runs free and sprinkles are use on lawns.
