For many years, the 4350water blog has informed readers of plans by the Toowoomba City Council (now Toowoomba Regional Council) and the Qld government to introduce recycled water for drinking in Toowoomba. It has also looked at the issue from a State and Federal perspective and dealt with related State and Federal political issues. There continues to be a need for the Toowoomba Regional Council to be completely transparent in its dealings with the ratepayers and residents of Toowoomba. There also continues to be a need for open debate on the benefits and risks of potable reuse and long-term studies on the effects on humans of drinking recycled water. Coal seam gas water is emerging as a possible alternate water source for some uses for the region. The 4350water blog is a collective effort and thanks go to its many contributors.

It would be good to see that the rest take a leaf out of her book and find them self a quite little corner of some other part of Australia to retire in.
She had better not come back and start giving the lectures on how bad the water levels are. The tankers of free water were delivered to the Carnival gardeners by the Council.
It might have been water we could have used if things got bad in the future but they have acted with out a care for us at all.

If Thorley has free time, I don't care what she does. Painting her pub is better than abusing small animals I guess. But she needs to account for her time. If she is supposed to be in her office in Herries Street, how can she be in Tasmania? That is rorting the system and the CMC should investigate whether she should be removed from office for absences without leave. It's fraud plain and simple. She's employed as Toowoomba's mayor whether we like it or not up until next March and if she wants to go to Tasmania she needs to resign. Then she can do all the painting she wants. Also running the hose and wasting water just shows how much of a hypocrite she really is. She was just out for what she could get for herself. She'll come back and give some sob story about how she was only helping her son and then laugh at how she was able to rip us off and get paid by us for painting her pub. I wish she was running for mayor next year because it would be very satisfying to see her lose by a huge margin as everyone vents their anger at her conduct.
