Federal ALP tells Anna Bligh what to do ...

This morning Anna Bligh was definite - Qld would have a referendum on daylight saving.

Tonight, in another backflip former Premier Beattie would be proud to call his own, it was all off - no referendum.

Regardless of your views on daylight saving, what caused the backflip?

See - Courier Mail - Premier rejects daylight savings.

What's going on down George Street?

Has KRudd weighed into Qld politics once again and cancelled Anna's referendum - fearful of a voter backlash at the Federal election?

Makes you wonder why Premier Beattie was quickly bundled out the back door of Qld politics after his council amalgamation debacle.

Is Federal Labor so nervous of Qld voters that it wants the Qld Bligh government to sit on anything slightly contentious in the run up to the Federal election?

Interesting times ...

The big question is why do the Brisbane's people not want a referendum of recycled sewage water .

They will be the first in the world to drink what is termed direct potable water.

Toilet to Tap !!

That would be one to scare the pants off Kevin Rudd.
