Interesting that no main stream media carried stories on this by-election. Now they have a card carrying unionist in parliament.

This is the exact situation we have to be careful of with the up coming Federal election.

Why change what is not broke.

You can bet that the use of recycled sewage water into Wivenhoe dam never came up in this by-election as they would loose votes on that one.

I am so surprised that the stories are absent from all of the media on this information and all of the problems that go with it if they use it as the drinking supply.

* Anna Bligh intends to use an extraordinary high proportion of recycled sewage water to the dam. It could go as high as 90% and that is a Toilet to Tap Scheme!!

There is still no country who deliberately put recycled sewage water into the cities water supply.

Wake up Brisbane and protest or you will be an experiment for all the world to watch.
It's not safe and should only be used for industrial purposes.

Looks like that One Nation candidate backed the wrong horse on trying to win the seat on the recycled water issue.

I am sure that he would have been out there with the message loud and clear, so I do not doubt that the people of Brisbane central heard the message of how bad recycling is.

They just did not believe him...

How do you know about the One Nation Candidate???
The media did not cover the by-election and they are doing a very good job of not reminding the Brisbane community of the fact that they will get recycled sewage water next year.

I suppose that they learnt a lesson from Toowoomba, just keep it quite and sneak it it.

That is the Labour Party way of doing things and you should know.

Beattie polled 50.48% primary and 64.77% 2PP in 2006. Grace polled 50.06% primary and 57.17% 2PP in 2007. That is a swing AGAINST Labor of 0.42% on primary AND a swing AGAINST Labor of 7.6% 2PP.

Maybe too much stench from the past but when a candidate is trying to get the truth out there which they did about recycled water, nobody was listening - it is now pretty obvious that either people in Beattie's old seat are either very dumb or just very happy with the idea of drinking recycled water from Wivanhoe Dam

Looks like they won't have to drink it - unless Anna can get all the MPs to pee - a lot!
