The 4350water Blog highlights some of the issues relating to proposals for potable reuse in Toowoomba and South East Qld. 4350water blog looks at related political issues as well.
An emotional Pauline Hanson has angrily stormed off during a television interview in which she was grilled over electoral funding.
The One Nation founder, who yesterday announced she was running for the seat of Beaudesert in the March 21 Queensland election, was interviewed on Channel 7's Today Tonight program last night.
The former federal MP - who was briefly jailed for electoral fraud in Queensland before being released in 2003 and having her conviction overturned - objected to being questioned about public funding of her previous campaigns.
Asked what had happened to electoral funds she had received, Ms Hanson said: "You can go and do your interview, because this is going over and over ... I'm tired of answering these questions."
She then became upset and walked away from the interviewer, who urged her to sit down and resume the interview.
"What makes me totally different to every other bloody candidate that stands?" Ms Hanson yelled.
"The media drag it up every election. Every election I am either hit with a bloody summons or I've got charges laid against me.
"Every bloody time! Why don't you talk about it any other time other than when I am running for election?"
Ms Hanson said yesterday if she lost the election it would be her last campaign.
Beaudesert is held by retiring veteran Liberal National Party (LNP) MP Kev Lingard.
LNP candidate Aidan McLindon is expected to win the seat.
For many years, the 4350water blog has informed readers of plans by the Toowoomba City Council (now Toowoomba Regional Council) and the Qld government to introduce recycled water for drinking in Toowoomba.
It has also looked at the issue from a State and Federal perspective and dealt with related State and Federal political issues.
There continues to be a need for the Toowoomba Regional Council to be completely transparent in its dealings with the ratepayers and residents of Toowoomba.
There also continues to be a need for open debate on the benefits and risks of potable reuse and long-term studies on the effects on humans of drinking recycled water.
Coal seam gas water is emerging as a possible alternate water source for some uses for the region.
The 4350water blog is a collective effort and thanks go to its many contributors.
