Renewal or revenge ...

Ms Spence was one of four to be given their ministerial marching orders yesterday as part of a mass cleanout of the Cabinet as Ms Bligh attempts to put a fresh face on her Government.
It is understood Ms Bligh's Left faction has long harboured ambitions of getting rid of Ms Spence after she defected to the Labor Unity faction after Labor's first term in office.

Blind Freddie could see that those were underperforming Ministers, judging by the stuffups with so many things. Premier Bligh will have a hard road ahead of her but with her two hatchet men, Mike Kaiser and Andrew Fraser by her side she should be able to keep her party members in line. I think the LNP should be glad of an extra three years to get their act together and form a really tight team while the Labor Party is now going to be forced to fix up their own enormous mess. In the meantime we should all pray for plenty of rain before we are forced to drink Brisbane's recycled effluent!

Who says Labor will fix their mess? Three more years feeding at the trough - that's what counts for most Ministers.
