About Me
- Name: Concerned Ratepayer
- Location: Australia
For many years, the 4350water blog has informed readers of plans by the Toowoomba City Council (now Toowoomba Regional Council) and the Qld government to introduce recycled water for drinking in Toowoomba. It has also looked at the issue from a State and Federal perspective and dealt with related State and Federal political issues. There continues to be a need for the Toowoomba Regional Council to be completely transparent in its dealings with the ratepayers and residents of Toowoomba. There also continues to be a need for open debate on the benefits and risks of potable reuse and long-term studies on the effects on humans of drinking recycled water. Coal seam gas water is emerging as a possible alternate water source for some uses for the region. The 4350water blog is a collective effort and thanks go to its many contributors.

On looking at the result, which is so slow, is:
Antonio
Taylor
Williams
Scotney
Strohfeld
Orford
Glasheen
Cahill
Ramia
Marks
then
Ruby
Yeates
Sullivan
Bourke
It is anyones guess who will get in as they still have a lot of counting to do!

I predict Schneider, Bourke and Englart will quickly start overhauling Strohfeld, Glasheen and Cahill once the counts from city booths start coming in. Don't be surprised if three of your six despised former councillors are there to haunt you for another four years.

Time will tell. If nothing else, the silly actions of these Councillors over the past 4 years will have meant the demise of at least a few of them. Any of them gone is a victory.
The more that remain, the more there will be to write.

It is too early to tell who will get in, there is some big booths yet to come in.
Darling Heights is to come in this afternoon, so that will be interesting.
I personally don't hold much hope for the six pack. Maybe 1 will get up and that will be it.

Guesser says:
My two bobs worth is that Glasheen will slide down and Schneider will move up as the city booths come in.
Strohfeldt Glasheen and Bourke will be fighting for the 10th spot.
City booths alone rank them:
ANTONIO,
TAYLOR,
SCOTNEY,
WILLIAMS,
ORFORD,
CAHILL,
RAMIA,
MARKS,
SCHNEIDER,
STROHFELD,
*GLASHEEN,
*BOURKE,
*ENGLART,
*ALROE,
*SULLIVAN,
*BARRON,
*BEER,

Time will tell.
Hopefully, none of the Councillors will have reached retirement age by the time the count is finished.

It seems all too little too late - if only Yeates and Bourke had advertised more they could have been well up there.
The best the sewer sippers will do is Ramia and Ruby
It must be a bit nerve racking for Marks
Englart must be a certainty to be gone - surely the people cannot be that dumb - she will make a good full-time grandmother

Rumour has it Ruby needs the money.

For what?

Even if Ramia and Schneider do get in they are only two votes and the top contenders will not take any nonsense I am sure. This will be a much better council than before. Most of the time the people get it right. I hope the counting will not take as long the next time around.

Ruby has been spending.

On what?

Home extensions.

Oops!

Poor Ruby, she will have to look for another job!
Thank goodness we don't have to look at her bottle blonde head tilted to the side on TV.
Prehaps she might have to learn to use the hammer and then have an ice cold glass of sewage water!
10:28 PM, March 25, 2008
When Ruby was pushing the sewage water in the shopping centres she said we could vote her out if we didn't like what she stood for.
I guess she may have said that to many times.
