Toowoomba Regional Council 2008 election - Cr Sue Englart wants to stay on the gravy train ...
Cr Sue Englart says she has empathy for both city and country people and should be elected to the Toowoomba Regional Council.
This is apparently based on 30 years work in the livestock industry.
Having been a Councillor for 11 years, voters on 15 March get to say whether 11 years is enough and she should be allowed to go and hug some trees somewhere else ...

Ever watchful - I know for a fact that many of Sue Englart's customers from the country have told her what they think of her recycled sewage water plan. By the way this is one of the Councillors who say that she has been working at a full time job as Councillor while working part time behind the desk at Elders'! She hopes to continue this racket.
She was so adamant in her support for Thorley's plan to have us drink recycled sewage water but just like Alroe, Schneider and Ramia they will lie by omission and hope they sail into council because people know their name.
Talking around to people in general it would seem that they know their names alright and they will make sure that they don't put a number next to their name on March 15th.
Anon - Where is the courage of these candidates!
Englart, Ramia, Alroe and Schneider were there right along side Thorley pushing the recycled sewage water as the only option and if we did not accept it we would run out of water.
Now this plan is conspicuous by its absence in their literature in all of their campaigns.
They hope to seek in with name recognition alone.

Toowoomba vote
Recycled water proponent Councillor Sue Englart says she is devastated by the outcome of the Toowoomba vote.
"I just feel sad for my children and my children's children because this was a decision to be made for the future," she said.

Premier Beattie in the same article (obviously not a core guarantee):
"This is my guarantee: we would never use indirect recycled water unless the people voted for it in a referendum in March 2008 and even then even then we would only use it if we had an armageddon situation - that is we had no other alternative.'
