That is the first time anyone has said that desal water is going into our dams. What is going on? They should know by now that Toowoomba voters are not stupid!
The elections on 15th March will settle this once and for all. Then maybe we can have a sensible objective Council who listens to the people and fights for them.

Whether you want recycled water or not, the choice for mayor is simple. We need a mayor who will listen to the community and stand up to Brisbane on issues. Not someone who will just lie down and take whatever Brisbane tells them to do.

I left the comment below on Anne Glasheen's blog to see what she says. She has comment moderation on her blog so not sure if I'll ever get a response.

What are your views on recycled water and connecting to Wivenhoe? We have seen mayoral candidate Ian Jones strongly back Thorley and Bligh's plans to have people in Toowoomba drink recycled water. What are your views?

Anne Glasheen did post a reponse on her blog. This is what she said -

In this day and age water is becoming more expensive than petrol.
Recycled water can be used for industry purposes ie parks, gardens, road building, there are multiple uses ...BUT NOT FOR DRINKING.
If they put reclycled water in Wivenhoe then isolate this dam for industry use only and take drinking water from other sources ie dams, bores , tanks.

Not sure how practical it would be to isolate Wivenhoe (maybe she meant Cressbrook) but at least she's clear in her view. You should make that clear to people.
