The C-Mail reports - The Toowoomba region enjoyed the state's strangest weather yesterday, reaching a maximum of just 20 degrees at 11.30am – well below the December average maximum of 27.5 degrees.

The state's lowest temperatures yesterday were recorded at nearby Stanthorpe and Applethorpe, both dropping to 14 degrees.

Brisbane's maximum temperature tipped 26.5 degrees at 11.03am, below the December average of 28.6 degrees.
