Cr Englart's thoughts on that flagpole and public money ...
Today's Chronicle quotes Cr Englart as saying in relation to the $250,000 funding for the 150th anniversary flagpole:
"The money is not funded by public money. It was funding money given by the State Government."
Of course, everyone knows that the State government grows money on trees outside Dalby and uses this for funding flag projects.
What has Cr Englart been smoking?
"The money is not funded by public money. It was funding money given by the State Government."
Should a Councillor who doesn't know that State government money is public money raised from taxpayers be re-elected at the next Council election or just sent out to pasture ...

It's been a secret for a while now, but TCC have a golden goose out back that lays golden eggs.
These eggs pay her wages, not the ratepayer.

Don't worry what's she has been smoking because Englart was one of the six pack who wanted us to drink recycled sewage water and still would if they were given the money. ( Maybe from the golden goose out the back.)
She's gone and so are all the others!!

How can a flagpole possibly cost $250,000. It must be made of gold. They must see this Council coming. Hopefully, we will see them going!

Joe Ramia's contribution was to say that a notice should be erected at Picnic Point to tell people the flagpole is coming. He is a waste of space!

They have all forgotten to tell the community that they will have to get permission from the original owners before any flag poll goes up.
I am sure we can do a lot with this amount of money to leave a monument for the 150 year anniversary.

They will have to wait a long time for permission from the original owners who perhaps are a bit wiser than the Council.
