About Me
- Name: Concerned Ratepayer
- Location: Australia
For many years, the 4350water blog has informed readers of plans by the Toowoomba City Council (now Toowoomba Regional Council) and the Qld government to introduce recycled water for drinking in Toowoomba. It has also looked at the issue from a State and Federal perspective and dealt with related State and Federal political issues. There continues to be a need for the Toowoomba Regional Council to be completely transparent in its dealings with the ratepayers and residents of Toowoomba. There also continues to be a need for open debate on the benefits and risks of potable reuse and long-term studies on the effects on humans of drinking recycled water. Coal seam gas water is emerging as a possible alternate water source for some uses for the region. The 4350water blog is a collective effort and thanks go to its many contributors.

Poor Pete, maybe he is awaiting some advise from his American PR friends.

Name change required: 'Referenda Pete'.
After announcing his recycled sewage referendum, he then backflips on his position and announces a daylight saving referendum for southern Qld.
Now he wants the Federal government to have a referendum on nuclear power.
Any guesses for his next referendum suggestion?
Figure with voters continually streaming into polling booths next year to tick 'yes' or 'no', no-one will notice the criminal trials, and the problems with health, roads etc.
Would one more referendum announcement complete the smokescreen?

The first thing the Beattie Government do is get the Engineer and dumb Deputy Mayor in a boat to scare the people into believing that the water will run out.
This has only succeeded in making us angrier and them seem sillier.
Premier Beattie should know that we will not change our minds and we are sure that Brisbane people are no different.

More political games.
It's comical how easy it is to see through their games.

Beattie will end up saying: "trust us, we won't put that much in, you can trust us".
