Underperforming communications and IT company Commander Communications has moved to reassure investors that its turnaround plan is underway and will work.

The company today reported a net loss of $244.82 million for the first half, which was worse than the loss of $5.60 million in the previous corresponding period.

The result included impairment charges of $193 million.
