About Me
- Name: Concerned Ratepayer
- Location: Australia
For many years, the 4350water blog has informed readers of plans by the Toowoomba City Council (now Toowoomba Regional Council) and the Qld government to introduce recycled water for drinking in Toowoomba. It has also looked at the issue from a State and Federal perspective and dealt with related State and Federal political issues. There continues to be a need for the Toowoomba Regional Council to be completely transparent in its dealings with the ratepayers and residents of Toowoomba. There also continues to be a need for open debate on the benefits and risks of potable reuse and long-term studies on the effects on humans of drinking recycled water. Coal seam gas water is emerging as a possible alternate water source for some uses for the region. The 4350water blog is a collective effort and thanks go to its many contributors.

Greens astounded as Flannery backs Turnbull
Support for Malcolm Turnbull: Professor Tim Flannery
2007 Greens leader Bob Brown has attacked environmental scientist Dr Tim Flannery for endorsing Federal Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
In The Age newspaper today the Australian of the Year says he would vote for Mr Turnbull, and that Federal Parliament needs more people like him to tackle climate change.
Senator Brown says he cannot understand the endorsement.
"How Tim can support a Minister who's backed a pulp mill which is going to keep 200,000 hectares of forest ... to be logged and burnt over the next 20 years is beyond me," he said.
Mr Flannery has rejected the criticism of his support for Mr Turnbull and says all politicians have to make compromises.
"In terms of the big issue which is dealing with climate change, which is a global threat, that's what I think about when I consider Malcolm Turnbull and his views," he said.
"Now there's compromises to be made right along. Who knows, I don't know the politics of the pulp mill thing, but I know that both Labor and Liberal have now endorsed it and I don't know whether that's a good view or not."

Turnbull must be promising big money to Tim Flannery for something.

Wasn't Tim Australian of the Year not so long ago - under the Howard government - better than Costello being censored by his brother, Tim ,for Australia being too mean with sending our money to foreign handouts

We now know why the hand is over the eyes as he has been found out and it is reported on 7.30 Report to-night. He has been looking after his mates with a $10M grant and they get to try cloud seeding when there is no clouds!!
I don't think Malcolm is going to go back.
