And it did rain ...
The heavens opened over Toowoomba today with widespread rain and thunderstorms.
With more rain predicted for tomorrow, Mayor Thorley and her Yes team who have been praying for no rain before 29 July must be casting worrying eyes skywards ...

Good to see belle 74 back.
It is pretty common knowledge that some in the Yes camp have been hoping that it would not rain before 29 July.
So the rain would frustrate them.
That was the point of the blog comment.
People who are voting yes are intelligent? I think the scientists are still out on that one! The only thing they have shown over the past year is that they can be spoon fed information by Mayor Thorley and not question it.

It is not intelligent to keep telling people that they are stupid if they do not go along with this scheme.
You are the very people who said and I quote " What if it never rains again" well is dose and it will and it will fill the dams in the summer when we get out major rain.
This rain saves the gardens and the large trees and generally make people feel better and our fair city will put on a green tinge.
My advise is to stop putting people down as good common sense will win out in this debate every time.

It's pretty common knowledge around Toowoomba that the Yes team have been saying that they hope it doesn't rain. And this goes right to the top of the Yes team.
All part of the 'do anything, say anything to get people to vote Yes' campaign, referred to in the press as Mayor Thorley's 'take no prisoners' approach.
How's Waterwise Wendy today?

This debate has moved far past the yuk factor.
It's about competence in local government.
Actions by Councillors have been borderline criminal.
The CMC will have plenty to do post 29 July.
Acland won't take the RO waste stream so the project's costs will double. What will that do to rates in Toowoomba?
As it seems belle 74 is using Council computers to make comments, please stop wasting our money!
