Toowoomba community to Mayor - "we're not stupid" ...
Mayor Thorley was on WIN News this evening rejoicing at John Laws being on 4WK weekdays because he's in favour of recycling.
As always, the Mayor blurs the recycling issue - note she did not say he is in favour of recycled water for drinking.
Does the Mayor really think that the residents of Toowoomba are going to change their minds just because a radio personality (who doesn't live in Toowoomba and won't be drinking recycled sewage at home in Sydney) might say it's a good thing.

Does WIN TV Toowoomba work for the Toowoomba City Council or have they got some kind of vested interest in having the people of Toowoomba drink recycled effluent?

Well, it makes you wonder.
The last time people started making the connection between the Council and WIN News personnel, there were threats of defamation proceedings all round!

The continued 'head in the sand' attitude by the mayor, ignoring Toowoomba's concerns and trying to push on with her ill-conceived project just makes me more convinced that she has to go.
