The Courier Mail explains the gaffs of the QWC head Ms "Notworthy" relating to the SEQ water crisis.

So when Deputy Premier Bligh says that the dams will be empty in 2008 and the majority of the water you drink will be recycled water, apparently that's not a crisis. Remember, drinking recycled water was Premier Beattie's Armageddon solution.
But there's no crisis.

Don't forget that the QWC head raised the issue of drinking recycled water at the time Merri Rose was charged.
Expect Beattie's team to do everything possible to fan the fire of the recycled water/water crisis debate while his Rose and Nuttall problems continue. Their prime focus must be to keep water on the front page of the Courier Mail and Rose and Nuttall off it.
Nosworthy is going to take some heat as part of Beattie's strategy!
Let's see how loyal she is.

Mayors want answers on Qld water situation
South-east Queensland's Council of Mayors is urging the state's water commissioner and Government to not leave residents in the dark about the water situation in the region.
The commissioner, Elizabeth Nosworthy, has come under fire for not revealing a likely time line for the introduction of level five restrictions and for her comments that there is no water crisis.
Council of Mayors deputy chairman and Boonah Mayor John Brent says there clearly is a crisis and the mayors will meet Ms Nosworthy next week to get an update on the region's water projects.
"The office of water commissioner certainly should not be a political office," he said.
"It's an office that calls it as it is without fear or favour.
"So we'd be asking the Water Commission to ensure that we have some information at hand to give to our communities."
